As is often the case, the items traveling down a conveyor will have variable heights. This can pose a real problem, especially if the heights are random and the ppm high.

To deal with such a challenge, variations of the "TL Series" labelers are used for the top labeling of either fixed height, or variable height articles.

A typical example of a "TL-100" Series labeler application is to "disable" pre-printed bar codes on the back of books, DVD's, and CD's. It does so by placing a new label directly on top of the bar code to be masked.

It can either apply a blank label, a pre-printed label, or dynamically print and apply a unique label.

Of course, the "TL-100" Series of labelers can be used on a wide variety of articles or cartons.
